The enterprise operates according to the principles of a self-sustained budget and self-financing.
The key targets of the enterprise activities are as follows:
- provision of transportation services for the citizens;
- conduct of business and operations and other activities aimed at income and profit generation.
At present the public passenger transport in the capital of Belarus operates 183 bus routes, 58 trolleybus routes, 9 tram routes, two metro lines with 28 stations.
222 suburban and 64 intercity routes are served by the enterprise. Buses of 18 international routes depart from the platforms of the Central Bus Station.
The enterprise operations support facilities account for 1757 buses (including 119 – minicoaches), 990 trolleybuses, 139 tram cars and 337 metro coaches.
The urban buses rolling stock is equipped with Mercedes engines of Euro – 3, 4 and 5 Standard, which comply with current environmental requirements.
